Michael Chandler Advises Dustin Poirier To Wait For His Fourth Bout Against Conor McGregor

Michael Chandler who is currently preparing for his bout against Justin Gaethje, advises Dustin Poirier that he should wait for his fourth fight against Conor Mcgregor instead of challenging the Lightweight champion.

Recently at UFC 264, Poirier defeated McGregor for the second consecutive time in their trilogy. During their fight, Conor broke his leg and it made the doctors stop the fight. As a result, there is a slight possibility they face each other again for the fourth time.

After the fight, McGregor grabbed every single opportunity to make things personal between him and Poirier. He even insulted the latter’s wife. The president of UFC, Dana White also seems to be in favor of another bout.

Dustin Poirier is now the No. 1 contender to face the lightweight champion, Charles Olivera. However, Michael Chandler thinks he should wait for his big-money match against McGregor.

Chandler had an interview with Helen Yee in which he revealed if he was in the place of Poirier, then he waits for his fourth match especially after the things he said to his wife and kids. But at the same time, he also thinks that the competitor in Dustin Poirier will take over and he will go on to fight Charles Olivera for the title.
Michael Chandler is currently scheduled to face the former title challenger Justin Gaethje at UFC 268 which is expected to take place on November 6.
