Carlos Ulberg vs Da Un Jung Set for UFC 293 in September
An All-Asian light heavyweight fight was added to the fight card of UFC 293 PPV in Australia.
As per Asian MMA, Carlos Ulberg will face Da Un Jung in a light heavyweight fight at UFC 293. The event is set to take place on September 9, 2023(Sept. 10 local time) at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
Carlos is currently performing at his best after his debut bout in UFC, as he is on a winning streak in his last four bouts. After coming through Dana White Contender Series in 2020, he lost in his promotional debut match. But since then, he has beaten Fabio Cherant, Tafon Nchukwi, Nicolae Negumereanu(UFC 281), and Ihor Potieria.

Formerly a kickboxer, New Zealand’s Ulberg will be fighting in Australia for the first time under UFC banner. His only previous pro-MMA bout in Australia came at Eternal MMA 40 in December 2018.
While Ulberg is on a winning streak, South Korea’s Da Un Jung will have to break his losing streak and avoid a third consecutive loss. After going unbeaten in his first 5 bouts in UFC, Jung suffered his first UFC loss to Dustin Jacoby in July 2022 before also losing to Devin Clark in February 2023.
This is just the second match reported to be booked for UFC 293. Viviane Araujo is also scheduled to face Casey O’Neil in a women’s flyweight bout at the event.
