Isaac Cruz vs Yuriorkis Gamboa Set for Spence-Ugas Undercard

Isaac Cruz vs Yuriorkis Gamboa

Isaac Cruz vs Yuriorkis Gamboa 12-round Lightweight bout is set to Spence-Ugas ShowTime PPV undercard at the At&T Stadium on April 16.

According to a report by ESPN, both these fighters have agreed to collide on the undercard of Errol Spence Jr vs Yordenis Ugas later this year in April.

Both Cruz and Gamboa lost to Gervonta Davis and now they will try again to climb up their way to another title opportunity. Cruz-Gamboa will be a co-feature bout and will take place before the main event title unification welterweight bout between Spence Jr and Ugas.

Isaac Cruz is coming off a loss against Gervonta Davis in his last bout. However, he stunned everyone in the match by pushing the star boxer to his limit. Before losing against Davis, Cruz had won 11 consecutive bouts.

On the other hand, Yuriorkis Gamboa is on a two-fight losing streak. He last lost against Devin Haney in November 2020 with WBC Lightweight title on the line. He was also defeated by Gervonta Davis previously in December 2019 to lose WBA(regular) title bout.

Therefore, both these fighters must be looking forward to getting back on a winning track when they face each other on April 16 at the AT&T Stadium.
