Joe Cordina vs Kenichi Ogawa Title Bout Set for June 4
Kenichi Ogawa vs Joe Cordina IBF Junior Lightweight championship bout has been officially announced to take place on June 4, 2022.
The official Twitter handle of Matchroom Boxing confirmed this news by posting a tweet. The tweet confirmed that Joe Cordina would be the first challenger for Kenichi Ogawa’s IBF junior lightweight title.
Kenichi Ogawa will try to make his second title run memorable, unlike his first one. He won the title via a doubtful decision against Tevin Farmer and then relinquished it after he failed a drug test. However, he defeated Azinga Fuzile fair and square in November for his second title win.
On the other hand, it is a lifelong dream of Cordina to be the world champion. He is finally getting the opportunity and he must be looking forward to converting the chance in his favor by becoming the new world champion.
Ogawa vs Cordina will take place at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales on June 4, 2022, and will air live on DAZN.
