It has been officially announced that Dmitry Bivol will square off against Gilberto Ramirez in a light-heavyweight boxing bout on November 5 later this year.
Chairman of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn himself confirmed this news by sharing a tweet. He stated that the fight is official for November 5 and he would reveal full details very soon.
WBA ordered the fight after denying Bivol’s request to collide against Joshua Buatsi. According to the WBA, the fight will likely take place in the UAE.
Dmitry Bivol has been undefeated so far and is holding the WBA (Super) light-heavyweight title. He even defended it against the likes of Canelo Alvarez.
On the other hand, Ramirez is also undefeated and he already held titles in the middleweight and light-heavyweight divisions.
Hence, Dmitry Bivol vs Gilberto Ramirez is an interesting matchup as one of them will get the first loss of his career.
