Devin Haney vs George Kambosos Jr Lightweight Title Bout Announced

Two undefeated Lightweight champions Devin Haney and George Kambosos Jr are set to collide in an undisputed Lightweight championship unification bout in June later this year. 

George Kambosos Jr vs Devin Haney is officially announced to take place at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on June 5, 2022. 

ESPN reported that Haney has inked a multi-fight deal with Lou DiBella and Top Rank Boxing, and these fights will take place exclusively on ESPN platforms. 

The contract also includes a rematch clause, so, if Devin Haney defeats Kambosos Jr, the latter would be able to exercise his right to claim another bout against him. 

George Kambosos Jr is coming off a win against Teofimo Lopez where he won the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring Lightweight titles. Now, he is looking forward to adding the WBC Lightweight title to his collection as well. 

On the other hand, David Haney last defeated Joseph Dia via unanimous decision last year in December. Now, he will face his toughest challenge in the form of George Kambosos Jr on June 5.
