Private Party has managed an upset by defeating the Young Bucks in the first round of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament in the opening match of the tournament at AEW Dynamite this week.

Matt and Nick Jackson started the match on the front foot after a few reversals and dodges. The crowd was surprisingly split 50/50 between both the teams. Private Party made lightning come back a few minutes into the match which once again got the crowd going.

After few nice sequences and a back and forth match, Isiah Kassidy countered a Meltzer Driver and Quen rolled up Matt to get the three count. The crowd was obviously stunned with the Young Bucks getting eliminated from the tournament so early. But also joyous with the charismatic Private Party getting through.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament will be crowning the first AEW World Tag Team Champions. The 7 team tournament will be concluding at the 30th October episode of AEW Dynamite. The rest of the teams in the tournament are Dark Order, Lucha Bros, Jurrasic Express, Best Friends and SoCal Uncensored.

SCU will face Best Friends next week while Jurrasic Express will go against Lucha Bros for the rest of the first-round matches on next week’s show. Dark Order has already qualified for the semifinal after winning the first round by at All Out 2019.
