Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman have become the new RAW Tag Team Champions as they defeated Gallows and Anderson from the OC at RAW this week.
Braun Strowman faced AJ Styles for the United States Championship on the first hour of RAW this week. But as he was starting to building the momentum, Gallows and Anderson interfered and started attacking the Monster Among Men. Strowman won the match by disqualification but AJ Styles retained the title.
As the OC continued with post-match beatdown, WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins came out to return the favor from last week and made the save. As they went backstage, Rollins suggested that they should challenge Gallows and Anderson for the RAW Tag Team Titles. Strowman agreed but he also had his eyes over the Universal Title during the show.
The match took place at the main event of RAW and took a surprising turn of events as it did end in a DQ. After Rollins weathered a spell of dominance from Gallows and Anderson, Strowman and he combined well and ended up winning the match and the title.
This is Seth Rollins’ fifth Tag Team Championship reign and with a fourth different partner while Strowman has won the title for the second time in his career. Rollins is now also a double champion with both RAW Tag Team and Universal Title on him.
As per the rumors, Seth Rollins is supposed to defend the Universal Title against Strowman at the Clash of the Champions. This Tag Team champions part of the storyline is expected to reach there in some manner with either of Rollins or Strowman turning on the other one.
