Seth Rollins to be Pulled from Crown Jewel Match & More News

Seth Rollins 25 Mar 2019

Seth Rollins is likely to be pulled out from the 10 men tag team match between Team Hulk Hogan and Team Ric Flair at Crown Jewel 2019.

WWE announced on Monday that Rollins will defend the Universal Championship title against Bray Wyatt in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Crown Jewel 2019. This announcement comes after an announcement on the 30 September edition of RAW where he was announced as the captain of Team Hogan at the Saudi event.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is now claiming that Seth Rollins is not scheduled to work two matches at WWE Crown Jewel and will be removed from the Team Hogan vs Team Flair match. That would mean that he will only work his match the Fiend Bray Wyatt. His removal from the Team Hogan vs Team Flair match will be addressed on TV in the coming weeks.

Seth Rollins has previously worked two matches at a PPV show, most recently at Clash of Champions where he defended the RAW Tag Team Championship and then his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman.

As per the latest info on WWE’s website, both Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan will be appearing on the 28 October 2019 edition of RAW. The removal of Rollins from the tag team match can be addressed there. It will be the go-home show for Crown Jewel which takes place on 31 October 2019 at King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WWE is also advertising a steel cage match between Rollins and the Fiend at 4 November episode of RAW. Rollins and Wyatt first faced off at Hell in a Cell where the match ended in no result by the referee stoppage.
