Halftime Heat commentary team announced!

Jeremy Borash revealed on his Twitter on Wednesday that current 205 Live play-by-play announcer Vic Joseph and Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be on the commentary for the Halftime Heat Special airing this Sunday during the Super Bowl halftime show.

As reported earlier, WWE recently announced the return of Halftime Heat during the Super Bowl halftime show for the first time in 20 years. Halftime Heat last aired in back 1999 during the halftime show of the Super Bowl with an empty arena match that featured Mick Foley (as Mankind) defeating The Rock to become the new WWE Champion. This Sunday’s Halftime Heat will feature an NXT six-man tag team match with Aleister Black, Ricochet, and Velveteen Dream vs. NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole, and former NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano. This special show will be streamed on the WWE Network, WWE.com, the WWE App, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

This Wednesday’s NXT Tapings at Full Sail University has teased a new NXT North American Champion in Velveteen Dream. But WWE has also shot an alternate ending involving Tomasso Ciampa.
