WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 was not as shocking of an event as it was earlier reported it would be. However, certain things forced the changes to the show. Here are some of the post-show updates from Elimination Chamber 2022:

Lesnar Went Off-Script

Brock Lesnar broke through the Elimination Chamber pod in the WWE Championship match at the event. What makes it scary is that it was not a planned spot and Lesnar broke through a legitimate glass door, as per PWInsider.

This might also mean that the quick eliminations of Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Riddle were not supposed to be this fast probably. The show went off the air a few minutes earlier than initially planned.

Lashley Requires Surgery

As we reported earlier, Bobby Lashley was carrying an injury even before Elimination Chamber. As it appears, everyone backstage knew about this in advance. Lashley was never in the plan to get involved in the match, and the pod breaking with a powerbomb was a planned spot.

More reports added that Lashley would visit  Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama, this week. Dr Andrews takes care of most of WWE’s surgeries. It is not known whether Lashley will appear on RAW or not, but the announcement from WWE regarding his concussion might hint that he will probably not.

Madcapp Moss is Fine

Talking about injuries, Madcapp Moss gave a scary moment to WWE officials during his match against Drew McIntyre. Moss landed awkwardly on his head as Drew hit him with an Alabama Slam. However, Moss did not get legitimately hurt by that spot. Also, there is no heat backstage for either wrestler due to that spot.

Fightful Select has reported that Moss assured the referee, Happy Corbin and Drew McIntyre, that he is fine during the match itself. He has apologized to Vince McMahon, Drew McIntyre and all the agents involved in the match for the way the move went.

The Viking Raiders vs The Usos Scrapped

What appeared to be the second last match of the night, the Viking Raiders vs the Usos match for SmackDown Tag Team Championship was not scrapped due to a time crunch. PWInsider reports that that match was never supposed to take place at Elimination Chamber.

WWE might be saving it for Smackdown episodes in the coming weeks. The Usos got to accompany Roman Reigns in his grand entrance earlier in the show. But, I feel for the Viking Raiders who were flown to Saudi Arabia for this angle.

Finish to Women’s Chamber Match

PWInsider also notes that WWE wanted to protect Alexa Bliss in her first match back to the ring. Due to this reason, the finish to the women’s Elimination Chamber match as per the original plan was a double pin spot with Bianca getting her shoulders up just in time.

However, the finish finally through with a KOD from Bianca Belair in order to make her look strong on her way to WrestleMania 38. Belair will challenge Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship.
