Tony Nese wins the Cruiserweight Tournament to go to WrestleMania

Tony Nese has won the 205 Live Cruiserweight Tournament to face the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Buddy Murphy at WrestleMania 35 this year.

205 Live held the Cruiserweight Tournament to identify the challenger for WWE Cruiserweight Championship Buddy Murphy at WrestleMania. Tony Nese and former champion Cedric Alexander reached the finals by beating Drew Gulak and Onay Lorcan respectively in semifinals. Tony Nese was able to beat Cedric Alexander as he kicked out of the pin multiple times from big moves and hit the ruuning to get the pinfall himself.

Current Champion and Nese’s ‘friend’ Buddy Murphy came out after the match to congratulate him and ended up attacking him from the back to start their rivalry for WrestleMania.
