After reclaiming the Universal Championship on Sunday at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins opened RAW this week. His promo was cut short by AJ Styles who came out with the OC to congratulate Rollins on his victory. As it turned out, it was actually to challenge Rollins in a champion vs champion match. Being a fighting champion, Rollins accepted the challenge right away.

They faced off in the main event of RAW and produced another match with good technical work. As Rollins looked threatening early on, the distraction of Gallows and Anderson helped Styles get the upper hand. After a lengthy period of Styles’ domination, Rollins made a comeback and was looking to finish off the match. But as a heel faction would ideally do, Gallows and Anderson entered the ring to attack Rollins and caused the disqualification.

The OC were looking to beatdown Rollins when Ricochet ran down in an attempt to make the save. But he was also taken care of as the Good Brothers hit the magic killer on him. Finally, Braun Strowman came out and took them down. As Styles looked to fight back, he was also hit by a running power slam.

Strowman grabbed the Universal Championship belt and hit the ring. For a brief moment, it looked like he was turning on Rollins. But he handed the title back too Rollins after having a brief look at it. Rollins, Strowman, and Ricochet closed the show posing in the middle of the ring.
