Katsuyori Shibata has returned to AEW and will challenge Orange Cassidy for AEW All Atlantic Championship on AEW Rampage November 4, 2022 card.
Orange Cassidy successfully defended the title against Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix in a triple threat match this week on Dynamite. PAC, Rey Fenix’s stablemate and the person Cassidy beat to win the title, adviced Fenix to use a hammer on Cassidy. However, Fenix ignored the advice.
PAC attacked Cassidy after Cassidy pinned Fenix to win the match. But before PAC could use the hammer, Katsuyori Shibata came out and PAC had to retreat. As Cassidy recovered, Shibata pointed towards Cassidy’s All Atlantic title. Cassidy handed him a contract to make the match official for AEW Rampage this week.
NJPW’s Shibata is returning to AEW as a return favor for AEW allowing Wheeler Yuta to miss last week’s Rampage to appear at NJPW Rumble on 44th Street event.
In another match announced for Rampage November 4 episode, Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker will face Madison Rayne & Skye Blue in a tag team match. Hayter will also be facing Toni Storm at Full Gear 2022 PPV for interim women’s title.
AEW has already announced that Mike Tyson will be on commentary for the whole episode of Rampage this week. It remains to be seen if this is going to be part of an angle on the show. Keep tuned in for more updates on the card.
