Roman Reigns joins ‘The Rock’ in ‘Fast and Furious’ spinoff film

Roman Reigns will be making his Hollywood Debut as the part of the movie ‘Hobbs and Shaw’, the Rock has announced on his Instagram post. The movie is a spinoff from of the Fast and Furious series where Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Statham will reprise their roles of Agent Luke Hobbs and Magdalene Shaw respectively.

Reigns has been out of action since October 2018 after he announced that he is suffering from leukemia. He had to relinquish the Universal title that he had won by defeating Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam as well. For now, neither WWE nor Reigns has confirmed when the superstar will make his comeback to the company but it is sure that he will not be competing at Wrestlemania 35 that takes place in April. Although, the rumors are ripe that he might appear at Royal Rumble but that is also expected to be just one-off appearance if he comes.

Reigns will portray the role of The Rock’s Brother in the movie. In the Instagram post, Johnson expressed the excitement over his “cousin” being able to make his movie debut alongside him while cherishing the time spent with Reigns as he recovers from his latest battle with leukemia. In a follow-up Instagram post of his own on Friday, Reigns thanked his new film family and noted that this whole process has helped him as he heals from the disease he’s currently battling outside of the ring.
