WWE has announced two big matches for Hell in a Cell go-home edition of the Monday Night RAW episode on 14 June 2021.
Drew McIntyre will face Bobby Lashley at Hell in a Cell 2021 PPV inside the cell with WWE Championship on the line. Before that, he will face AJ Styles in a singles match on this Monday’s RAW episode.
Generally, a match between AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre would be counted as a marquee clash. However, we are getting this match on a regular weekly show.
There hasn’t been any feud going on between AJ & McIntyre as such. AJ Styles currently holds WWE RAW Tag Team Championship with Omos. The Viking Raiders became the number 1 contender for the tag titles last week at RAW. Following that, AJ & Omos mocked The Vikings in a backstage segment. It will be interesting to see if The Viking Raiders affect the outcome of this match or if any new feud could start with this showdown.
The other match announced is the tag team clash between New Day(Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) and RK-Bro(Randy Orton & Riddle). These two teams have been feuding for the last month.
Last week, both teams were part of the tag team Battle Royal. In that match, Riddle saved Randy Orton from Kofi’s Trouble in Paradise, and this led to Orton eliminating Kofi from the Battle Royal. Later in the show, Kofi defeated Riddle in a singles match.
Apart from these two matches, it is expected that Rhea Ripley-Charlotte Flair storyline would continue as they get ready for their clash at Hell in a Cell. Also, Shayna Baszler and Alexa Bliss’ storyline could continue after we saw Baszler getting spooked by Bliss’ doll Lilly.
