Adam Page vs PAC Announced for AEW Dynamite Premiere
AEW has announced another match for the premiere of All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite Show Premiere as Adam “Hangman” Page will take on PAC on 2 October.
After their altercation at AEW’s Las Vegas Party, PAC and Adam Page were originally supposed to face-off at AEW Double or Nothing in May this year. However, due to some reported creative differences between AEW and PAC, the Bastard pulled from the match.
At the time, PAC was Open the Dream Gate Champion with Dragon Gate and was not satisfied with some of the booking decisions. Instead of the showdown at AEW’s first show, PAC and Page had an impromptu match at a Wrestlegate Pro show in Nottingham, England a week before Double or Nothing, where Hangman got the win by disqualification.
Later, Page went on to win in the Casino Battle Royal and faced Chris Jericho in the inaugural AEW World Championship match at AEW All Out last month. PAC also made a return to AEW at All Out last month when he replaced Jon Moxley in a match against Kenny Omega.
Now, as AEW will start its weekly show on TNT starting next week, PAC and Page are set to battle once again. During the latest Road to TNT episode, Tony Schiavone announced that the match will indeed take place on the first episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite premieres on Wednesday, 2 October on TNT between 8 to 10 PM EST, airing from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The show will go head to head against WWE’s NXT which will air in the same slot on the USA Network. the matches announced for the Dynamite premiere episodes are as follows:
