NJPW Battle in the Valley Sold Out After Mercedes Mone Debut Match Announcement
NJPW has only announced Mercedes Mone vs Kairi Sane for the NJPW Battle in the Valley on February 18, and the event is already sold out.
Mercedes Mone, fka Sasha Banks, brought a lot of star power to NJPW, and it can be seen in the ticket sales. Battle in the Valley will be the first US event of NJPW in 2023, and all the tickets have already been sold out.
Kairi will defend her IWGP Women’s Championship against Mercedes Mone at the San Jose Civic Center in San Jose, California.
Mercedes Mone made her NJPW debut on the first night of Wrestle Kingdom 17. She even attacked Kairi after the latter successfully defended her title against Tam Nakano.
Sasha Banks walked out on the May 22, 2022, episode of Raw along with Naomi. After that, they were stripped of the women’s tag-team titles and were also suspended.
However, Sasha Banks decided not to re-sign with the promotion when her contract expired, and she became a free agent. Now, she will compete for the first time under the banner of NJPW on February 18.
