WWE has released another set of wrestlers from their contracts with John Morrison and Hit Row being the biggest names among them.

Several Media Houses received the email from WWE informing them about the release of 8 wrestlers on November 18, 2021, due to budgetary reasons. Hit Row’s Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott were called up to SmackDown during WWE Draft 2021 just 5 weeks back. Hit Row’s Briana Brandy was also released earlier on November 4.

Tegan Nox came to SmackDown in July and was later moved to RAW during WWE Draft. She has not appeared on screen ever since. Drake Maverick has featured in 24/7 Championship segments only since his return to the main roster a couple of months back.

Shane Thorne was not used after his split from Retribution stable and only appeared in a dark match once since then. Jaxson Ryker has featured on Main Event and dark matches since July this year.

With the latest bunch, WWE has now released more than 80 wrestlers from their contract in 2021. Apart from this, WWE has also cut down on backstage staff and office staff since the start of this year. In 2020 also, WWE released atleast 30 wrestlers and backstage staff.
