Harry Smith/Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Shane Thorne have returned to WWE and worked dark matches around SmackDown tapings this week.
The fans attending SmackDown at Toyota Center in Houston, TX tweeted the pictures of Harry Smith in the ring. After the SmackDown episode, WWE aired an exclusive interview on social media handles where Smith announced that he is back in WWE.
PWInsider has also reported that Smith has signed back with WWE. The reports also mentions that Smith and WWE agreed to a new contract going back as early as this past March. But things were kept quiet until it was the right time to bring him out.
Harry appeared at the WWE Hall of Fame 2020 ceremony in April this year, where Davey Boy Smith Sr. was inducted. This will be Smith’s second run in WWE. He earlier worked with the promotion between 2006 and 2011.
Shane Thorne also returned to SmackDown in a post-show Battle Royal. Thorne was working as Slapjack in RETRIBUTION and has been off TV since April where he worked in Andre The Giant Battle Royal. It seems that Slapjack character is now dropped.
