Edge vs Roman Reigns Official for Money in the Bank 2021

Edge returns to SmackDown 25 June

WWE Hall of Famer Edge returned to WWE SmackDown last night for the first time since WrestleMania 37.

This week on SmackDown, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was about to cut a promo as the part of State of Universal Championship address. Just as he took the mic, Edge’s music hit and he came out to the ring.

Although surprised, Roman tried to catch Edge on the apron but Edge unloaded on him on the floor. As Edge took him back to the ring, Roman hit him with the Superman Punch. Roman tried to use a steel chair but Edge hit him with a spear.

Edge, who was looking more menacing than ever, tries to hit Roman with con-chair-to. But Jimmy Uso came out to make the save but Edge sent him through the barricade. This gave Roman the chance to escape and Edge closed down SmackDown by posing angrily towards the camera.

This is Edge’s first appearance since night 2 of WrestleMania 37. Roman defeated as he stacked and pinned both Edge and Daniel Bryan to retain Universal Championship in the main event.

In an update, WWE has announced the Universal Championship match between Edge and Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank 2021 PPV. The announcement came at Talking Smack on Saturday morning. Edge apparently went to WWE Officials Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce after SmackDown went off the air and asked for the title match.

Earlier in the night, Rollins also went to Pearce and Deville and presented himself as the next challenger for the title. Rollins has reacted badly to this news on Talking Smack. It is worth noting that Edge vs Seth Rollins match is long speculated for SummerSlam 2021 PPV.

Keep tuned in for more updates from WWE and Money in the Bank 2021 PPV.
