Big E & Carmella Added to Money in the Bank Matches, More Qualifiers Announced
Big E and Carmella have been added to this year’s men’s and women’s Money in the Bank Ladder matches respectively.
Big E faced Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews in the qualifiers for the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.
During the final minutes of the match, Commander Azeez tried to attack Big E. But the referee caught Azeez in the act and booted him to backstage. Big E hit the Big Ending on Apollo to get the win. Big E has joined Ricochet, Riddle and John Morrison from the RAW roster for the match.
For the women’s match, Sonya Deville announced Carmella to be the first name from the SmackDown side. Liv Morgan came out and took offense on Carmella being added to the match. Morgan argued that she defeated Carmella last week and she should be the one to be added to the match.
This led to a war of words between Carmella and Liv, leading to Liv slapping Carmella. Sonya Deville then announced a match between them for Liv to show whether she deserves to be added to the MITB match. Liv managed to defeat Carmella with a roll-up pin after a short match.
WWE has also announced a Last Man Standing match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens as the next Money in the Bank qualifier. That match will go down on next week’s SmackDown episode.
Sami defeated Owens at Hell in a Cell PPV and demanded to be added to MITV match directly. However, Adam Pearce denied his request, leading to another rant from Sami where he warned Pearce of playing with karma and cosmos.
