Edge turns heel on AJ Styles

WWE Hall of Famer Edge has turned heel once again after AJ Styles accepted his challenge for a match at WWE WrestleMania 38.

Edge cut a promo last week and recalled his best WrestleMania matches over the years. He said he needs another big moment at WrestleMania and WrestleMania 38 also needs him to be called stupendous. Edge then issued a challenge to the locker room for a match at the Showcase of Immortals.

This week at RAW, Rated-R Superstar once again came out to the ring and asked who is answering his challenge. When nobody came out for a minute, he was pretty disappointed at the state of WWE. Just then, AJ Styles came out to the ring and accepted the challenge.

Edge first embraced the challenge from AJ and then his demeanor just changed. He then went ahead and hit AJ with a low blow. AJ fought back with a Pele kick. Edge ducked a phenomenal forearm and hits another low blow. As AJ was laid out in the ring, Edge left the ring, only to battle with his emotions and bring in steel chairs.

After battling with his inner demons for a while, Edge finally gave in and hits AJ with con-chair-to to complete his heel turn. The crowd booed him heavily as he hit AJ with another con-chair-to.

WWE later confirmed the match between two veterans for WrestleMania 38. This is the sixth match to be confirmed for the show which will take place over two nights on April 2 and April 3.
