WWE has added another match to Clash at the Castle 2022 event.

Edge and Rey Mysterio, Tag team champions from 2000s, will team up to take on a common foe in Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

The match was announced after a segment on this week’s RAW episode. Judgment Day defeated Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles in a tag team match to open the show. After the match, Damian Priest called out Edge once again after Edge defeated him last week on RAW. Edge came out to answer, and this led to Rey Mysterio and Dominik attacking Judgment Day from behind.

A brawl ensued which ended when Rhea Ripley’s mind games on Dominik forced him to give up his kendo stick. Judgment Day ultimately backed off when Edge and Rey returned to the ring to help out Dominik. Later, the commentary team confirmed the tag team match for Clash at the Castle event.

The storyline for this match started when Finn Balor joined Judgment Day and the faction turned on Edge, who was their leader at the time. The group put Edge on the shelf for a few months and then moved on to a feud with The Mysterios. The faction tried to recruit Dominik to the group but failed to turn him against his father.

Edge returned during the street fight between Judgment Day and The Mysterios at Summerslam and helped Mysterios to get the win. The storyline has continued further with Finn Balor defeating Rey Mysterio, and Edge defeating Damian Priest last week in a singles matches. Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley has beaten up and dominated Dominik week in, week out.

After the match was announced for Clash at the Castle, Dominik asked Rey why he is not part of the match. Rey told him that he needed some experience by his side in Edge. Rey also told Dominik that he needs him in his corner during the match.

WWE Clash at the Castle takes place on September 3, 2022, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
