Clash of Champions: Bayley gets a Sneaky Win over Charlotte Flair

Bayley was able to survive the onslaught from Charlotte Flair and retain the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Clash of Champions 2019 show.

Bayley won the SmackDown Women’s Championship by defeating Charlotte Flair after cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase on the same show. She later went on to successfully defend the title against the likes of Alexa Bliss(Stomping Grounds), Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross(Extreme Rules), and Ember Moon(SummerSlam).

After being away from the title scene for around two months, Charlotte Flair challenged Bayley for the title match at Clash of Champions. However, the most shocking moment of her title reign came when she turned heel by joining her former tag team partner Sasha Banks.

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions then assaulted their Clash of Champions opponents Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in back to back nights on RAW edition of 2 Sept. and SmackDown episode of 3 Sept. The four Horsewomen also faced off in a tag team match at MSG edition of RAW where Flair pinned Bayley to win the match.

Charlotte Flair, who was in her hometown(billed), dominated the match right from the start. She ran Bayley around the ring and perfect and almost brutal in executing her plan. Every time Bayley would try and counter a move Charlotte would hit her with even more big offense.

As it turned out though, Bayley had a trick up her sleeve to get the pin. After Charlotte kicked Bayley into the turnbuckle Bayley just laid there for a minute. As Flair charged, she was tripped by Bayley and hit the turnbuckle. Bayley rolled her over and just like that, got the pin leading to a shock ending.

As cameras focused on the turnbuckle, we got to know that while Bayley was lying at the turnbuckle, was removing the turnbuckle pad to expose it. And expertly went on to use it to her advantage.
