Bella Twins Confirmed for WWE Hall of Fame 2020
Bella Twins, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, were confirmed for the Class of 2020 Hall of Fame during the SmackDown episode of 21 February 2020.
Bella Twins were announced for this week’s SmackDown episode for the talk show segment “A Moment of Bliss.” Host Alexa Bliss informed on the show that it is going to be a Hall of Fame edition of the show. And then she went on to introduce the third inductees for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame in Bella Twins.
Nikki and Brie thanked their hometown crowd and credited the Bella Army’s support over the past 13 years for all their achievements. As they wrapped up the segment, Brie’s Husband Daniel Bryan joined them on the stage with their daughter.
Bella Twins are the third Inductees announced for 2020 WWE Hall of Fame. Earlier, Batista and New World Order were also announced for the ceremony. More names like Jushin Thunder Liger, Davey Boy Smith and JBL are floated around to be inducted this year in WWE Hall of Fame. The ceremony takes place on 2 April 2020 at Amalie Arena in Tempa, Florida.
Bella Twins made their foray into pro-wrestling by signing a developmental contract with WWE in 2007. They started with WWE’s developmental promotion FCW and were called on SmackDown after spending about a year with FCW. Both Nikki and Brie would go on become WWE Divas Champions and would be the mainstay of the women’s division until 2015.
After 2015, they only made sporadic appearances but made it to some big moments. Example-in-case are- first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble in 2018 and the main event of WWE Evolution, WWE’s first all Women’s PPV, against Ronda Rousey. During this time, they continued to work for other WWE shows like Total Divas and Total Bellas. Both sisters announced the retirement from the in-ring career last year. Late last year, both twins announced twin pregnancies.
Brie is married to WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan and has a daughter with him. Nikki was earlier in a relationship with John Cena and the pair got engaged at WrestleMania 33 in April 2017. However, the pair split later that year.
