Bad Bunny To Host WWE Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico on May 6
Bad Bunny’s next WWE assignment is set as he will play host for WWE Backlash 2023 event which will be taking place in Puerto Rico.
WWE announced that Backlash 2023 event would take place on May 6, 2023, at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This will be WWE’s first televised event in Puerto Rico in 18 years.
WWE’s press release also had comments from Bad Bunny, who will be playing host for the event. Bad Bunny said,
“In 2005 when I was a kid, I wasn’t able to attend New Year’s Revolution at el Coliseo. Finally, 18 years later WWE returns to the island with a massive event and this time I won’t miss it.”
This will be the first PLE after WrestleMania 39. For the last two years, Backlash went by the name WrestleMania Backlash, but the WrestleMania part is now dropped for this year’s event. It will be 18th event in the Backlash event series.
With Backlash also being an Internation event, it will make three Internation PLEs in a row after WrestleMania 39. WWE has recently announced that King & Queen of the Ring 2023 event will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Money in the Bank 2023 was already announced to take place in London, UK.
