Ambrose to Defend IC Title Against Rollins & Lashley on RAW
After meddling in the title match between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley will face both of them in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship. This will be the third week in a row when the Intercontinental title will be on the line.
On New Year’s edition of RAW, Dean Ambrose retained the Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews. Then last week, he again survived against Seth Rollins in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Rollins has hit the stomp on Ambrose and was about to go for the pin when Lashley attacked Rollins. Ambrose then pinned Rollins to win the match.
As RAW kicked off this week, Rollins attacked Bobby Lashley out of nowhere. Lashley and Lio Rush then interrupted an in-ring confrontation between John Cena and Drew McIntyre to demand action against Rollins. Rollins again attacked Lashley at the entrance followed by Dean Ambrose attacking Rollins. A 6-man tag team followed this with Cena, Rollins, and Balor on one side and Lashley, Ambrose, and McIntyre on the other. Rollins countered a Dirty Deeds from Ambrose into a Curbstomp to win the match.
As soon as the match was over, Rollins ran backstage and confronted Triple H to ask for IC title rematch against Ambrose. Triple booked the match with Falls Counts Anywhere stipulation.
As Rollins looked to finish off the match with a stomp on the floor, he got attacked by Lashley. Lashley hit him with a slam and a spear before Ambrose crawled over to pin Rollins. After the match, Lashley sent Rollins through the table with a spinebuster.
Now, these 3 superstars will face off in a triple threat match next week on RAW. In other matches for RAW, Ronda Rousey will team up with Sasha Banks, to take on Nia Jax and Tamina. Sasha defeated Nia last week to earn a title shot at Royal rumble against Ronda. 2 opponents in one team? What will happen there? Follow us for more updates.
Braun Strowman is also expected to perform in a match which will be his 1st time since surgery on his right elbow. Also, we might see the Revival stacking their claim for another Tag Team Title match after they lost by a pin on Dawson with his foot under the rope (a rule that should have broken up the pin).
