On the second anniversary of Brodie Lee’s last AEW match, Dark Order will get a shot at Trios Championship against Death Triangle. Blackpool Combat Club will be in action as Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta faces Rush, Isiah Kassidy and Mark Quen from Andrade’s stable.

Varsity Blondes will take on Josh Woods and Tony Nese in another tag team match. Madison Rayne and Skye Blue will face Tay Melo and Anna Jay AS from JAS. Tune in below for results from AEW Rampage October 7, 2022 episode with live updates, winners, highlights and complete action.

  • Blackpool Combat Club(Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) defeated La Faccion Ingobernables(Rush, Isiah Kassidy & Mark Quen) in a tag team match via submission.
  • Josh Woods & Tony Nese defeated Varsity Blondes(Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Tay Melo & Anna Jay AS defeated Madison Rayne & Skye Blue in a tag team match via submission.
  • Death Triangle(PAC, Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo)(c) defeated Dark Order(John Silver, Alex Reynolds & Preston “10” Vance) via submission to retain AEW World Trios Championship.

Blackpool Combat Club(Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) vs La Faccion Ingobernables(Rush, Isiah Kassidy & Mark Quen)

Claudio drops Quen with an armdrag to start. Quen hits a crossbody from the top and hits a dropkick. Claudio drops him again and tags in Yuta for a high double boot. Kassidy gets the tag and blocks a German suplex from Yuta before hitting a couple of quick moves. Yuta puts on a body stretch. Kassidy comes out of it and tags in Rush. Rush wants Moxley right away. Moxley tags in and circles around the ring. Rush and Moxley trade forearms. Mox hits a headbutt and a high boot. Mox blocks a German suplex and hits one of his own. We cut to a break.

Rush has Moxley under control as we return. Rush boots Mox in the corner. Some disagreement between Rush and Private Party. Moxley counter Kassidy with a suplex. Claudio gets the tag who hits a clothesline on Kassidy and follows up with running uppercuts. Quen saves Kassidy from Claudio’s swing. Claudio takes Quen on his shoulders and swings around Kassidy. Rush attacks Claudio and Mox hits him with a cutter. Private Party attacks Moxley before Yuta takes them down with a diving crossbody. Claudio drops Kassidy and Yuta hits him with a diving splash. Rush breaks the pin with a kick. More back-and-forth action. Yuta fights off Private Party. Claudio comes in and saves Yuta from a double team. Yuta puts on an armbar on Kassidy to get a submission.

Winner – Blackpool Combat Club

Varsity Blondes(Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison) vs Josh Woods & Tony Nese

Nese and Pillman start with some counters. Pillman hits an upkick and an arm drag. He hits a big chop and tags in Garrison. Garrison wrenches Nese’s arm. Nese brings in Woods for some double team. Nese trips Garrison and Woods nails him with a knee strike. Nese pulls Pillman off the apron. Woods and Nese hit a double-team finisher to get the pin.

Winner – Josh Woods & Tony Nese

Mark Sterling gets into the ring now and announces that he has trademarked Varsity Term in professional wrestling. Woods and Nese will now be known as The Varsity Atheletes. Sterling says his groins is on fire since National Scissoring Day. AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn come out. Caster raps and warns Sterling against interrupting his team again.


We see a recap of how Eddie Kingston’s win over Sammy Guevara was overturned. Eddie is backstage somewhere and sarcastically apologizes for attack on officials.

Tay Melo & Anna Jay AS vs Madison Rayne & Skye Blue

Rayne starts against Anna Jay with some back and forth. She deals with Melo as she tries to interrupt. Melo gets the tag. Rayne puts on a side headlock. Blue tags in, Rayne trips Melo and Blue hits her with a dropkick. Anna gets a blind tag and attacks Blue. Blue goes to the apron and hits a knee. Melo trips Blue while the referee was distracted. We cut to a break.

Blue and Melo are down as we return. Rayne nails forearm shots on Anna as they tag in. Rayne knocks off Melo before hits a suplex on Anna. Anna counters with a move before Blue tags in. Blue nails a roundhouse kick on Anna. Melo breaks the pin. Melo hits Blue with a piledriver. Rayne drops Melo with a powerbomb. Anna goes for Queenslayer on Rayne but Rayne avoids it. More quick actions follows. Melo hits Blue with a knee strike. She knocks Rayne off the apron. Anna puts Blue in Queenslayer to get the submission.

Winner – Anna Jay & Tay Melo

We get a split screen between Death Triangle and Dark Order. Dark Order talk about Brodie Lee getting them AEW contracts and winning trios titles would be a good way to honor his last match anniversary. PAC says he respect Lee, but they are not ready to drop the titles.


We get to know about the matches next week on Dynamite. Shane “Swerve” Strickland says he is coming to hurt Billy Gunn next week on Dynamite.

Death Triangle(PAC, Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo)(c) vs Dark Order(John Silver, Alex Reynolds & Preston “10” Vance) – AEW World Trios Championship

A brawl starts the match. Death Triangle is thrown to the floor. Fenix and 10 go at it in the ring while Silver and Reynolds take out the other two on the floor. Silver and Reynolds double-team on Fenix with a suplex. Dark Order keep Fenix under control with quick tags. Reynolds hits another suplex. Fenix tags in Penta. Reynolds hits Penta with a superkick. Silver tags in as we cut to a break.

Fenix fights against both Sliver and Reynolds as we return. Penta tags in for quick moves on opposite trio. PAC hits Reynolds with a bridging German suplex, but Silver breaks the pin. Death Triangle continue to keep Reynolds under control with quick tags. PAC throws Reynolds to the floor and hits him with a suplex. We cut to another break.

Reynolds is trying to fight back against PAC as we return. Reynolds hits stomp on PAC’s back to counter a back body drop. 10 and Fenix get the tags. 10 hits clotheslines on Lucha Bros. He hits spinning side slam on Penta and a spinebuster on Fenix. PAC hits him with a double sledge. Death Triangle hits triple superkick and more combination offense to get a near fall. 10 reverses a suplex from Fenix. Silver and PAC tag in trade offense. Silver hits a deadlift brainbuster for a near fall. Fenix tags in but Silver hits him with a clothesline.

Fenix fights off a pendulum bomb but Dark Order succeed in the second attempt. Fenix still kicks out of the pin. Fenix nails Reynolds with a hurricanrana from the top. Penta hits slingblades on Silver and 10 before a backstabber on Silver. Silver avoids Fear Factor. Dark Order overwhelm Penta with some combination offense, ending it with Brodie Lee’s discuss lariat. Fenix and PAC break the pin. Rush comes out and hands PAC a hammer. PAC nails Reynolds with the hammer. Fenix takes out 10 and Silver on the ramp. PAC puts on brutalizer on Reynolds to get the submission.

Winner – Death Triangle

The action will continue with Battle of the Belts 4.
