AEW Ramoage October 15 2021

AEW Rampage will precede AEW Dynamite for the first time with their episode on October 15, 2021. The show will also clash for the first 30 minutes against Supersized SmackDown. AEW has also added a Buy-in pre-show which will air for free on Youtube and compete with the second hour of SmackDown on that day.

The overall card is stacked, to say the least. Daniel Bryan vs Minoru Suzuki is announced for Buy-In along with Bobby Lee vs Lee Moriarty. CM Punk will be in action for the second week in a row. Inner Circle will deal with Men of the Year and American Top Team while Ruby Soho vs The Bunny is the regular women’s match on the show.

Daniel Bryan vs Minoru Suzuki: To upset WWE SmackDown, AEW is putting two industry legends in front of each other for free on Youtube. Daniel Bryan’s wish to face NJPW legend Minoru Suzuki will also come true.

Bobby Fish vs Lee Moriarty: In the second match on Buy-in, Bobby Fish will take on Lee Moriarty.

Santana Garrett vs Tay Conti: A third match is added to Buy-in show later with Tay Conti taking on Santana Garrett, who has a big win over Hikaru Shida recently.

CM Punk vs Matt Sydal: Lio Rush is in AEW and is claiming he could put rocket on anyone’s back. As Sydal took offense on Rush needling Dante Martin, Rush asked him if wants a match against CM Punk. That’s how this match has come about.

Inner Circle vs Men of The Year: Chris Jericho will try to put an end to AEW takeover of the American Top Team and Men of the Year. He will team up with Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara from Inner Circle. Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky(from Men of the Year) will have Junior Dos Santos in their team, while Jorge Masvidal will also be in their corner.

Ruby Soho vs The Bunny: In a customary women’s match on the show, Ruby Soho will take on The Bunny. Both women are expected to be part of the TBS Tournament in January.

Tay Conti vs Santana Garrett

They lock up and goes miss big kicks. Conti drops Garrett with armdrags and Garrett returns the favor. Conti locks on the knee bar and turns it into a knee bar. Garrett breaks the lock and hits a big knee to the gut. Conti drops Garrett again. They counter each other a few times before Garrett hits a big forearm and a moonsault back elbow.

Garrett goes for a submission but Conti kicks at her ankle. Conti hits a bulldog and both women are down. Anna Jay motivates Conti. Conti misses the pump kick in the corner once but counters the springboard elbow to finally connect the pump kick. She hits a trio of running pump kicks and DDTay to get the win.

Bobby Fish vs Lee Moriarty

Fish starts with a sidekick and catches Lee’s leg when goes for the same. Fish hits a knee to the gut and a big sidekick. Lee picks his ankle and Fish turns it around into an ankle lock of his own. They trade armlocks next. Lee sweeps Fish’s legs and then takes him down with a crossbody. Lee looks to work on Fish’s arm. Fish picks him up and slams in the corner. A German suplex and a sliding lariat follow from Fish.

Fish hits a senton from the ropes. He hits a suplex next. Moriarty hits a few uppercuts and a lariat. Fish hits a European uppercut next and a Gamengiri. Lee hits the jumping stomp next to get a two-count. They trade strikes now. Fish rocks Lee with a flurry of strikes. He drops Lee with a belly-to-belly suplex for a two-count. Lee hits a suplex for a two-count of his own.

Fish hits a leaping knee strike. He drops Lee on the ropes with an exploder suplex and follows with a big roundhouse kick for the pin and the win.

They lock for a show of strength and Suzuki brings Bryan down to the knee. Bryan gets up and tries to put on an octopus stretch. Suzuki hits a snap mare, but Bryan picks his leg soon. Suzuki grabs the ropes quickly as Bryan goes for the kneebar. They continue in a similar manner until Suzuki provokes Bryan to go for a brawl.

Bryan hits an uppercut. Suzuki hits a palm strike to the chest. Bryan hits a chop and Suzuki replies with another palm strike. Bryan hits sidekicks. Suzuki hits a big forearm to drop Bryan. Bryan gets up and hits Yes! kicks and hammer elbows. Suzuki grabs the bottom rope. Bryan goes on to stomp on him. Suzuki uses the ropes for an armbar. They roll to the floor and continue their brawl there.

Suzuki keeps control as they get back to the ring. Suzuki locks on the kimura but Bryan gets his leg on the ropes. Bryan sends him to the ring post on the floor and hits a running knee next. Bryan takes him back to the ring. Suzuki asks for more kicks as they return to the ring again. Bryan goes for signature stomps. He puts on the cattle mutilation lock. Bryan transitions it into a pin attempt for a close two count.

Bryan beats him up in the corner. Suzuki is just getting angrier with them. Suzuki starts to strike back with kicks of his own. Suzuki puts on the armbar but Bryan gets his leg on the ropes. Bryan goes for the labell lock but Suzuki manages to avoid it after some struggle. They start to trade strikes again. Bryan hypes up after eating big elbow. Both men connect with a big punch and both are down.

Trading of strikes continues for some more time after they get up. The match finally moves somewhere as Suzuki goes for the sleeper a few times, but Bryan gets out of it every time. Bryan catches him with the running knee to get the win.

CM Punk vs Matt Sydal

Punk goes to work Sydal’s arm. Sydal switches it around. Punk hits a knee strike. Sydal with few side headlock takedown. Punk grabs his ankle to bring him under control. Sydal counters a suplex and Punk flips him for a two-count. Sydal puts Punk in a bow and arrow stretch. Punk comes out of it with a lateral presss and follows with body slams. Sydal hits an armdrag to toss Punk across the ring.

Sydal keeps Punk grounded for the next few minutes. Punk hits a dropkick and looks exhausted. Punk hits a back elbow and a single leg dropkick. Sydal hits a spinning heel kick and senton in the corner. Punk hits a body slam on the apron. He follows with a springboard senton. Sydal avoids a basement slide in the corner. They fight on the top turnbuckle and fall down to the floor.

They trade strikes in the ring now. Sydal hits a sidekick and a flush knee. Punk counters the wipeout with a neckbreaker. Sydal takes down Punk from the top with a headscissor. Sydal goes for the straight jacket. Punk counters with anaconda vice grip. Sydal gets his leg on the ropes. Sydal hits a big roundhouse kicks after both men miss their moves. Sydal hits lightning spiral and Punk just kicks out in time. Punk hits GTS for the win.
