AEW Dynamite Title Match Changed to Philadelphia Street Fight

Chris Jericho vs Darby Allin AEW World Championship
Darby Allin Becomes #1 Contender To Face Chris Jericho Next Week on AEW Dynamite

The AEW World Championship match between Chris Jericho and Darby Allin on next week’s AEW Dynamite has now been changed to a Philadelphia Street Fight.

Darby Allin faced Jimmy Havoc in the number one contender’s match at AEW Dynamite this week. After Havoc dominated the match, Allin was able to get the win using the coffin drop. Later in the show, Allin used a skateboard to jump on Chris Jericho, which got a great reaction for the fans online.

Yesterday, AEW shared a backstage promo from Chris Jericho. Jericho went on to ridicule Allin for jumping on him after his grueling brawl against the likes of Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks, and others. And since Allin wants to fight and treat him like some kind of street thug, he changed the match to a Philadelphia street fight. You can check the complete promo below.

Chris Jericho is also next scheduled to face Cody Rhodes at AEW Full Gear 2019 on 9 November. That is if he successfully beats Darby Allin next week. Chris Jericho also introduced his new stable, “Inner Circle”, to the audience this past week on AEW Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite will air from Liacoruous Center in Philadelphia next week on 16 October 2019. Below matches are going to be featured on the episode:

  • Chris Jericho vs Darby Allin- Philadelphia Street Fight – AEW World Championship Match
  • Riho vs Britt Baker – AEW Women’s Championship Match
