AEW Dynamite Quake by the Lake August 10, 2022 Preview & Card
AEW is set to present a special edition of Dynamite titled “Quake by the Lake.” It will feature a stacked card including two title matches and a coffin match.
AEW already announced Jon Moxley vs Chris Jericho interim AEW World title bout. Darby Allin vs Brody King coffin match and Andrade El Idolo & Rush vs Lucha Brothers Tornado tag match have also been announced. Darby Allin vs Brody King – Coffin Match
Darby Allin, Sting & Miro have been feuding with House of Black for quite a while now. Brody King has already defeated Allin once in a singles match. However, this time, Brody King will have to put Allin inside a coffin to win the match. The latter has already won two coffin matches that he has participated in AEW. So, will Allin keep his undefeated streak in coffin matches?
La Faccion Ingobernables & Rush vs Lucha Brothers
Andrade El Idolo and Rush will relive their rivalry against Lucha Brothers Penta Oscuro and Rey Fenix of the Lucha Brothers with a tornado tag team match. Andrade’s rivalry with Lucha Bros is as old as his arrival to AEW. Now, it will be interesting to see whether Andrade El Idolo & Rush will be able to overcome to get a big win over their long-time adversaries or not.
Jade Cargill’s Open Challenge
AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill was supposed host an open challenge at the Quake by the Lake special. However, she has already found an opponent in new AEW signing Madison Rayne. Cargill is remains undefeated in AEW so far, will she be able to take care of another contender? Her feud with Kris Stadtlander and Athena also continues in the background. Will they get involved in this match in any capacity?
Jon Moxley vs Chris Jericho – Interim AEW World Championship
Last week, Chris Jericho defeated Wheeler Yuta to keep his no. 1 contender status against Jon Moxley for the interim AEW world title. On the other hand, Moxley had to go through Mance Warner in a world title eliminator match. After weeks of the feud between BCC & JAS, the two most formidable members of each faction will finally face each other, and that too for the biggest prize in AEW.
FTR Return
ROH, IWGP and AAA Tag Team Champions FTR have been away from Dynamite and Rampage for the last few weeks. They will return with this episode of Dynamite. Will they turn their attention towards AEW Tag Team titles and become quadruple champions? What else they have in mind?
Ricky Starks vs Aaron Solow
Ricky Starks has had tremulous couple of weeks as he lost the FTW title to Hook and then, Powerhouse Hobbs turned on him. Last week he was easily taken down by Hobbs and The Nightmare Factory offered him protection. This led to an argument between former tag team partners Starks and Aaron Solow. They will now face off in a singles match this week.
