Adam Cole Reportedly Done With NXT Brand?
According to the latest reports, at tonight’s NXT TakeOver 36, Adam Cole made his final appearance for the NXT brand.
Tonight’s NXT TakeOver 36 event featured Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly in a brutal 2 out of 3 falls match. The first fall was a traditional match in which O’Reilly got the pinfall. The second one was a street fight in which Adam Cole even the score. The third one was a steel cage match in which Kyle O’Reilly made Adam Cole tapped out to win the ultimate contest between them.
A few weeks back, it was revealed that Adam Cole’s contract ended back in July but he signed an extension so that he could compete at NXT TakeOver 36. After the match, PWInsider reported that Cole’s loss to Kyle O’Reilly was his final appearance with the black and gold brand.
All the reports are indicating that Adam Cole is done with NXT and will likely switch brands. Recently he had a meeting with Vince McMahon which went pretty well. Vince wants Adam Cole in the main roster. However, it is still unclear whether he joins Raw or SmackDown or not.
It is also believed that AEW is interested in getting Adam Cole on board if he decides to leave WWE. Now, it will be interesting to see whether Adam Cole stays with WWE or will show up at any other organization
