UFC Vegas 59 Card, Santos vs Hill Lineup (August 06, 2022)

Thiago Santos vs Jamahal Hill UFC Fight Night 06 August 2022

UFC Fight Night returns to Apex Arena in Las Vegas, NV, with UFC Vegas 59 or UFC on ESPN 40: Santos vs Hill event.

The event will be headlined by a Light Heavyweight bout between Thiago Santos and Jamahal Hill. Santos is looking to turn around his form here which has left him with just 1 win in the last 3 years. He lost to Magomed Ankalaev earlier this year after a win against Johnny Walker in October last year.

On the other hand, Jamahal Hill is 4-1-1 since his UFC debut in 2020 with his lone career loss coming against Paul Craig at UFC 263 13 months back. This is more of rising star vs experience veteran fight. A win here might bring either to the top 5 in UFC’s Light Heavyweight ranking.

In the co-main event of UFC Vegas 59, Vincente Luque would want to shrug off a loss to Belal Muhammad in his last outing as he gets ready to face Geoff Neal. Luque was a backup to Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington bout at UFC 268, but his loss against Muhammad has pulled him back from title contention. Neal broke a two-fight losing streak by defeating Santiago Ponzinibbio.

The card will also feature the heavyweight final of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Peña vs. Team Nunes between Zac Pauga vs Mohammed Usman. The women’s flyweight final will be on the card between Brogan Walker vs Juliana Miller. The complete fight card for UFC Vegas 59 or UFC on ESPN: Santos vs Hull event on August 6, 2022, is as below:
