The record-setting Raul Rosas Jr has received his second assignment, and it will likely take place at UFC 287 later this year on April 8.
EuroSports Netherland has reported that Raul Rosas Jr would collide against Christian Rodriguez in a bantamweight bout at UFC 287 PPV event.
Raul Rosas Jr set a new record in his inaugural UFC appearance. He defeated Jay Perrin via first-round submission and became the youngest fighter to win a UFC match. He made his way to UFC by defeating Gutierrez at Dana White’s Contender Series.
On the other hand, Christian Rodriguez lost his UFC debut against Jonathan Pearce last year in February. However, he rebounded from this loss by defeating Joshua Weems via first-round submission in his most recent bout.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Raul Rosas Jr will continue his undefeated streak or wil Christian Rodriguez deliver him his very first MMA loss at UFC 287.
The promotion hasn’t officially announced UFC 287 PPV event, and hence its venue and location are yet to be revealed.
