Rose Namajunas Vs Zhang Weili Officially Added To The UFC 268 Match Card
Rose Namajunas and Zhang Weili will collide in UFC Women’s Strawweight title rematch at UFC 268.
UFC will make its much-anticipated return to the Madison Square Garden, New York on 7 November with UFC 268. The main card for the event was confirmed during this Saturday’s UFC 35 Vegas.
At UFC 261, Rose Namajunas knocked out Zhang Weili with a kick to the head and claimed the gold for herself. With this win, she became the first woman in the history of UFC to reclaim a title. Jessica Andrade ended her first title run back in 2019.
Namajunas’ first-round win was a shock since it ended Zhang Weili’s 21 fight winning streak in her MMA career. Now, the Chinese fighter must be looking to avenge her loss and get the title back from Namajunas.
However, it is not the only title rematch that will take place at Madison Square Garden. The fans will also see a Welterweight title rematch between Kabaru Usman and Colby Covington in the main event. Justin Gaethje vs Michael Chandler is also announced for the event to stack up the card.
Sean Strickland vs Luke Rockhold middlweight bout, Germaine de Randamie vs Irene Aldana bout between bantamweight contenders, and Al Iaquinta and Bobby Green lightweight bout are also announced for UFC 268 main card.
