Jonathan Pearce vs Bryce Mitchell Targeted for UFC 288
According to the latest reports, Jonathan Pearce will collide against Bryce Mitchell in a featherweight bout on May 6, 2023, at the UFC 288 PPV event.
Instagram user BRKRZ was the first one to report this bout which was later confirmed by multiple other sources as well.
Bryce Mitchell has recently faced his very first MMA loss. He won 14 fights in a row and had a five-fight winning streak in UFC. However, Ilia Topuria snapped this streak at UFC 282 as he made Micthell submit in the second round.
On the other hand, Jonathan Pearce is also on a five-fight winning streak. His solo UFC loss came back in his inaugural match in 2019 against Joe Lauzon. He is coming off a unanimous decision win against Darren Elkins in December 2022.
Now, it will be interesting to see whether Bryce Mitchell will be able to rebound from his first loss or whether Pearce will extend his winning streak to six fights at UFC 288.
The promotion has yet to announce the location and venue for UFC 288. Stay tuned to get more details on this event.
