Israel Adesanya Signs New Deal Before UFC 271
According to the recent press release by Paradigm Sports, UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya re-signs with the promotion.
The champion is all set to collide against the former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 271. He signed a new deal ahead of this title defense at the upcoming PPV.
Paradigm Sports, Adesanya’s management team, revealed in a press release that the fighter has signed one of the most lucrative deals in the history of UFC. This new deal makes Adesanya one of the highest-paid athletes in the history of MMA. The negotiation took place for several months before they finalize the agreement last week.
Adesanya also expressed his happiness on signing the new contract and described it as a big f***ing deal, only second to Conor McGregor in terms of money. This is also a reflection of his status after defeating several stars like Anderson Silva, Kelvin Gastelum, and Yoel Romero in recent years.
The Last Stylebender is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Marvin Vettori at UFC 263. Now, he is all set to face Robert Whittaker for the second time. He previously defeated Whittaker once at UFC 243 back in 2019.
UFC 271 is all set to take place this Saturday, February 12, 2022, and will be headlined by Adesanya vs Whittaker 2.
