Islam Makhachev Defeated Dan Hooker at UFC 267

Islam Makhachev managed to get another quick victory as he defeated Dan Hooker at UFC 267 via submission. 

Makhachev was the favorite to win this bout and the crown even began to chant his name right after his entrance. The match only lasted for 2 minutes and 25 seconds and Islam Makhachev dominated its every single second. 

In the ending moments, Islam Makhachev holds the kimura lock on Dan Hooker to trap him and made him tap out. With this win, Islam Makhachev becomes 10-1 in the UFC, whereas Dan Hooker UFC record becomes 11-7.

Now, Islam Makhachev is on nine matches winning streak which is the longest in the history lightweight division of the UFC.

Now, Islam Makhachev is a prime contender to challenge for the UFC lightweight title. Charles Oliveira is set to defend his title against Dustin Poirier at UFC 269. Makhachev will likely face the winner of that bout when he steps inside the octagon again.
