Hermansson vs Strickland to Main Event UFC Fight Night on Feb 5

Jack Hermansson(22-6) vs Sean Strickland(24-3) middleweight bout will the main event the February 5, 2022 UFC Fight Night event.

ESPN reported that the 185-pound bout between #6 and #7 ranked fighters is nearly finalized by UFC for the event currently taking place on an unannounced location. Several other websites have also confirmed the news independently.

Sean Strickland has taken the division by storm and is currently on a 5 fight winning streak. In his unbeaten journey in the last three years, he has picked three wins via unanimous decision and two wins have come via TKO. His most recent win came against Uriah Hall, a fight he completely dominated.

Jack Hermansson, on the other hand, has traded wins and losses in these last four bouts. Both the losses have come against higher-ranked opponents Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier. Prior to his win-loss trend, Hermansson has picked four wins in a row.

Strickland was earlier reported to face Luke Rockhold at UFC 268, but Rockhold withdrew from the event due to herniated disc.
