Dana White Tests Positive for COVID-19, Might Miss UFC Vegas 44
UFC President Dana White has tested positive for COVID-19 and might miss UFC Vegas 44.
White revealed that he and his family caught the virus during their travel for the Thanksgiving holiday. White informed on The Jim Rome podcast that he traveled to Maine with his family, which is their Thanksgiving tradition. Upon their return, White lost his sense of smell and took the COVID-19 test along with his family.
White is fully vaccinated and the issues were limited to just the loss of taste and smell. White had also revealed that he turned to UFC Presenter and his long-time friend Joe Rogan for advice on treatment and is feeling good right now.
Joe Rogan caught on the controversy when he also contracted COVID in October. Rogan went on to reveal the cocktail of drugs and methods that he used to get rid of the virus. Some of which were not mandated by authorities.
Dana White clarified that he does not have an anti-vaccination stand. White added that Rogan is a very smart guy who talks to the very best of people. UFC President trusted Rogan’s judgment and says the treatment has helped him in fast recovery.
White has maintained that he is not sure of attending UFC Vegas 44 this weekend. If White gets a negative result, he also assured that he will follow all the mandated protocols in place in case he ends up attending the event.
UFC Vegas 44 takes place on December 4, 2021, with Rob Font vs Jose Aldo serving as the main event.
