Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame later this year in summer. 

During the UFC San Antonio broadcast, it was confirmed that Donald Cerrone would be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame later this year during International Fight Week. 

Donald Cerrone recently bid farewell to his over-a-decade-long UFC career in July 2022. He lost to Jime Miller via second-round submission, and after the fight, he announced his retirement. He made this decision after losing six consecutive bouts, along with a no-contested battle. 

Cerrone competed in the welterweight and lightweight divisions of UFC. He did challenge for the lightweight championship but was unable to win the gold. 

Donald was one of the most entertaining fighters, and he tied with Charles Oliveira for the most fight-night bonuses (18) in UFC history. Dana White himself recognized Donald Cerrone as one of the best lightweight fighters in the UFC. 

The UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony will likely take place on July 6 as a part of International Fight Week.
