Blood Diamond vs Orion Cosce Nixed from UFC 275
Blood Diamond vs Orion Cosce Welterweight bout has been scrapped from UFC 275 which is set to take place in Singapore.
BJPenn was the first one to report this news which was later confirmed by Orion Cosce via a tweet as well. The bout has been canceled as Blood Diamond was ruled out of the match due to an injury.
This is the second time the match between Blood Diamond and Orion Cosce has been canceled. They were supposed to face each other at UFC 271, but at that time Cosce withdrew from the match.
Blood Diamond made his UFC debut at UFC 271 only as Cosce was replaced by Jeremiah Wells. However, the replacement didn’t go well for Diamond as Wells made him submit in the very first round.
On the other hand, Orion Cosce also lost his promotional debut against Phil Rowe via TKO last year in July. Since then the Dana White Contender series winner has been waiting to enter the octagon again.
UFC 275 is set to take place on June 11 and will be headlined by Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka Light Heavyweight title bout and Valentina Shevchenko vs Taila Santos women’s Flyweight title bout.
