Austin Lingo vs Melquizael Costa In Work for UFC Vegas 77
Another bout might be added to UFC Vegas 77 as Austin Lingo vs Melquizael Costa is reported for the event.
The bout is expected to take place in the featherweight division. Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting reported the bout between two former LFA fighters for UFC Vegas 77.
Austin Lingo is coming off a submission loss in his last bout to Nate Landwehr in March this year at UFC San Antonio. Lingo took that fight on short notice after his third fight was cancelled in a row earlier in March.

Lingo made his UFC debut at UFC 247 in February 2020. Then, he went on to win his next two bout against Jacob Kilburn in January 2021, and against Luis Saldana in August 2021. This was followed by a series of fight cancellations which saw him not being active in 2022.
Costa made his UFC debut at UFC 283 in January this year. He lost his debut bout to Thiago Moisés in a lightweight bout. However, he will be coming down to featherweight in this bout.
UFC Vegas 77 event is set to take place on July 15, 2023, at UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, NV. Currently, Holly Holm vs Mayra Bueno Silva bout is scheduled to headline the event in a women’s bantamweight bout. Terrance McKinney vs Nazim Sadykhov lightweight bout was also added to the card recently.
