Tommy Fury Shows Broken Ribs X-Ray to Explain Withdrawl Against Paul
Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul will not take place this month as the former withdrew from this bout due to injuries.
The initial reports mentioned that Fury has withdrawn due to injuries. Fury then released a statement that he has suffered broken ribs during the sparring session while he is also battling with a bacterial infection in the chest.
The match has gathered a lot of hype due to its vulgar-mouthed press conference and the involvement of big names of Jake Paul and Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury. Paul’s fanbase jumped on Tommy thinking that the injury suddenly came out of nowhere and were suspicious in the matter.
To clear things up, Tommy Fury posted a video on his Instagram handle where he revealed that he had caught a bacterial infection after the first two weeks of this training camp. He was having trouble breathing while training in the gym due to the infection.
After a few weeks, Fury and his team decided to do a sparring session. Tommy stated that he took a little clip to his body. However, his body was too weak at that time, and he realized something was not right.
Fury rushed to the hospital and had an MRI there, which revealed that he had multiple fractures and a clean break in his ribs. He even showed a picture of the report in the video.
Fortunately, Tyron Woodley has agreed to replace Tommy Fury in the main event against Jake Paul on December 18. Earlier this year in August, Jake Paul defeated the former UFC champion, and now Woodley must be looking forward to taking his revenge against the Problem Child when they collide inside the ring for the second time.
