Manny Pacquiao Announces Exhibition Bout Deals with Rizin

Manny Pacquiao will feature in more exhibition bouts in 2023.

The legendary boxer has signed a one-fight deal with Rizin FF for an exhibition boxing bout. The announcement came when Pacquiao attended Rizin 40 and Rizin X Bellator event on New Year’s Eve.

After retiring from the pro boxing in 2021 after losing WBA(Super) Welterweight title fight to Yordenis Ugas in August 2021. He returned to boxing ring in December 2022 for an exhibition bout against DK Yoo. That bout took place under the banner of Global Titans in UAE.

Rizin has earlier held a couple of exhibition event featuring Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather last faced Rizin’s MMA Fighter Mikuru Asakura in a boxing bout. Prior to that, Mayweather faced Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018 in his first exhibition bout.

Pacquiao has also informed that his next bout will not be against Mayweather, though he plans to face him later. Will we see the two legends fighting once again? They did 4.6 million PPV buys last they fought. Will we see them drawing similar numbers again?
