Floyd Mayweather vs Mikuru Asakura Rizin Exhibition Bout Announced

Floyd Mayweather has been officially announced to face Japan’s Mikuru Asakura in his next exhibition bout under the banner of Rizin. 

A press conference was held on Monday to disclose this news. Mikuru Asakura is an MMA Fighter who spent the majority of his professional career fighting in Rizin. 

Floyd Mayweather vs Mikuru Asakura will take place in September. However, an exact date for this contest hasn’t been announced yet. The fight will exclusively be broadcasted on the newly launched Rizin Fight Pass. 

This will be Floyd’s third exhibition bout. The first one took place against Tenshin Nasukawa at Rizin 14 whereas in the second one he collided against the Youtuber, Jake Paul. 

Floyd Mayweather announced his retirement from professional boxing back in 2017. His last fight took place against the former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor. 

Mayweather was also inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and his speech made everyone emotional. Now, in September, Floyd Mayweather will once again enter the squared circle to show why he is one of the greatest boxers of all time.
