Canelo-Plant Showtime PPV To Reach 800,000 Buys Soon

Canelo Plant vs Caleb Plant Showtime PPV was a massive success and the chances are great it will soon reach 800,000 buys. 

According to BoxingScene, the total PPV buys rate that includes domestic buys through cable and satellite operators in the US, and digital sales are about to reach 800,000. However, it is very soon as sometimes the total buy rate took months to calculate. 

It was anticipated that the Canelo-Plant PPV would draw 500,000-600,000 PPV buyers as the telecast is competing with UFC 268. 

Canelo Alvarez is one of the biggest boxing stars in the US. His return was really anticipated as he hadn’t competed in a PPV for a while. 

Canelo Alvarez knocked out Caleb Plant in the eleventh round to earn the victory at the Showtime PPV event. In a post-fight interview, he revealed that he would return to the ring by May next year. Alvarez also mentioned that he will take some time to decide who he will fight next and he might make this decision by January 2022. 

The last three bouts of Alvarez were streamed through DAZN which is a much cheaper option than traditional PPV buys.
