David Benavidez and David Lemieux will headline a Showtime & PBC boxing event on May 21, 2022.
The event will take place in Benavidez’s backyard of Glendale, AZ. The pair will clash over the interim WBC Super Middleweight title(Canelo holds the title) in the 12 rounds co-main event.
Benavidez remains a two-time WBC Super Middleweight champion and continues to be undefeated. He will facing an experienced David Lemieux, who moved up from middleweight to super middleweight in the later part of his career.
The main card of the event will air on Showtime from 10 PM ET onwards and will have two additional fights in Yoelvis Gomez vs Jorge Cota at 154 lbs and Luiz Nunex vs Jonathan Fierro at 125 lbs.
