Anderson Silva to Return Against Machado on Mayweather-Moore Card
The former UFC Middleweight Champion, Anderson Silva is all set to return to the boxing ring for a bout against Bruno Machado on May 14.
Silva vs Machado exhibition bout will be a part of Floyd Mayweather vs Dan Moore. The event is called “The Global Titans Fight Series” and will take place at the helipad of the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa.
Anderson Silva’s clash against Bruno Machado will last for eight rounds and will be contested at 194 pounds.
Anderson Silva parted ways with UFC back in 2020, and since then he appeared in two boxing matches and won both of them. In his most recent bout, Silva knocked out Tito Ortez in less than two minutes.
On the other hand, Bruno Machado is holding a sic-fight winning streak. He won the title of UAE Warriors in 2020 after defeating Mike Santiago whereas Machado’s last victory came against Mickael Lebout.
The event will mark the much-awaited return of Floyd Mayweather. He last had a match against Youtube star Logan Paul. Since it was an exhibition match, no winner was declared.
